As the seasons change, so do the rules. I’ve always respected the “No Whites After Labor Day” policy, but sometimes you have to make an exception every once in awhile.
This year, that exception was a white, embroidered dress by Banana Republic featured below (and on sale). Worn several times during the summer, this was one (of several) different looks worn for lunches, brunches, and of course market runs to Gansevoort and Chelsea. The embroidered fabric offered a textured canvas that made fun, statement accessories “pop” like these multi-collored earrings and casual Soludos espadrilles.
Having traded my whites, lights, and brights for darker, autumnal neutrals, I’ll be holding onto this little-white-dress for next summer. Perhaps it’ll make another appearance post Labor Day 🙂
